Training Center

We are finally able to post some pictures of the training center. Christina told the employees on Friday that they were closing the daycare. We were waiting for her to tell the employees so we could post something. Please continue to pray for the needed money. We are needing approximately $11,000 more dollars. You can click on the pictures to blow them up bigger. This building will be used as a training center. The possiblities are endless.

This is the playground area. This area is also used as a meeting area.

This is one side of the current daycare which will be used to train Brazilian men and women.

This is the other side of the daycare.

These 2 ladies are Christina and Margarida. Christina is from Germany and has been charge of the daycare for well over 20 years. Margarida is a Brazilian lady that has worked there at the daycare for years. We have gotten to know them very well. They are 2 special ladies. Christina will be returning to Germany and Margarida will be staying in Rio Branco but is retiring.

This is a one side view of the building from the front of the road.

Children's Day

Sunday was Children's Day here in Brazil. We celebrated Saturday at the church in the center of town (Macedonia) and the rural church (Guajará).

This picture was taken at the church in the center of town. Thanks to Jerri, Aurenice, Adilson, and Josefa who were responsible for this program. We had a record number of over 50 children show up.

The following pictures were taken at the rural work. Whenever we have anything that is for children we usually have more adults show up than children. We never annouce that we are having food because we are afraid that we will get more people than we can handle. We did serve hot dogs, cake, popcorn, and soda for this.

All the men sat to one side toward the back. They almost always do this.

Hannah helping serve hotdogs. We are so thankful for our children. They are such big helpers in the ministry.

Happy Birthday Benjamin!!!!!!

Benjamin, our youngest, turned 6 on October 8th. He wanted a party at the zoo and requested peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Here he is pictured with a bear that his Nana sent him from the states for his birthday. It was his favorite present.
