Today has been the hottest we have had this year. If you look at the picture, the top number is the time, the second is the date, the third number is the temperature in the house (yes, it is 95.4 in the house, and the 4th number is the temperature outside (this is the normal temperature in the shade). You might think, well just turn on the air conditioning. We do not have that seeing as we do not even have a drop ceiling in the house. You might ask, well what about your car? No relief there either seeing as we have a Kombi (VW van) and from the factory they do not have air conditioning. We do have some comfort knowing that by night time it should cool off in the middle 80's which will make it nice sleeping weather.

The future land and building for the church in Areial
We are praising the Lord that the needed money for this property has already been promised. We are only waiting for it to clear with the mission board to purchase this house and lot. $10,000 may seem like a lot for this little lot and house but it is worth it. The lot sits on a paved road and it also is the main road into the neighborhood which increases the value. We want to thank everyone that helped with this either through your prayers or your giving.

Stephen´s Dad comes to visit
We were so excited to have Stephen´s dad come and visit us. We had not seen him in almost 3 years. The children were extremely excited. We were able to take him to Brasiléia, where he worked for a year while we were in the states on furlough. He was also able to visit and preach in the new works. Stephen and his dad also sang at all the churches. We ate more ice cream than normal which is always a treat especially to the grandkids. Philip commented that that is what grandparents like to do.
This couple was saved under the ministry of Stephen´s dad
Stephen and his dad singing at the rural work in Guajará.
These are very dear friends which were also saved when Stephen´s dad was in Brasileía. They have moved to another city now, but he still keeps in contact with them through e-mail. This family is from Cuba.

Jemima
This sweet Irish missionary has been teaching our ladies over the last several months how to be more effective in teaching the children. She has been a blessing to all of us. At times she is a little hard on us, but for our good. Children are important in themselves and need Jesus as their Savior. We started our course in January and every other Saturday we meet for an hour and a half. We plan to finish up in June. This picture shows her singing a children´s chorus. Thank you Jemima.

Happiness
In an address given to ministers and workers after his ninetieth birthday, George Mueller spoke thus of himself: "Iwas converted in November, 1825, but I only came into the full surrender of the heart four years later, in July, 1829. The love of money was gone, the love of place was gone, the love of position was gone, the love of wordly pleasures and engagements was gone. Gone, God alone became my portion. I found my all in Him; I wanted nothing else. And by the grace of God this has remained, and has made me a happy man, an exceedingly happy man, and it led me to care only about the things of God."
Philippians 3:8
"Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,"
